Camp Branches is an outdoor wilderness & adventure camp run by experienced educators and conveniently located in Whitby, Ontario! With our new location in Lindsay, Ontario. We are an adventure camp with the perfect mix of fun and educational nature experiences for children between the ages of 4 and 12.
Camp Branches offers nature-based, hands-on programs designed to help children explore, create, and grow outdoors. Our main programs include:
Each program is designed to be child-led, outdoors as much as possible, and filled with meaningful experiences.
Camp Branches offers a variety of activities including nature walks, wilderness & survival skills activities, low ropes, large group games, arts and crafts, team sports, team challenges, orienteering, survival games, shelter building and more.
A child must be at least 4 years old by the start of their camp session.
If your child is 13 years old or older at the time of camp, they can apply to volunteer at our camp. Volunteering is a great opportunity for kids aged 13-16. They not only get a chance to give back to the community and achieve any community volunteer hours needed for school, but they also get some valuable skills and camp experience.
Our staff teach and supervise their groups in excellent ratios, averaging approximately 1 staff to every 10 campers. The younger campers typically receive a lower ratio. Safety is always our #1 priority!
Our campers are grouped by age and ability where possible. Additional considerations will be made as needed like siblings and friend requests.
Camp Branches is an outdoor-based program, and weather is an important part of the wilderness camp experience. Campers should come prepared for changing conditions with appropriate clothing, including a raincoat, rain boots, extra layers, sunscreen, and a hat.
Light rain and typical summer weather will not stop our adventures! On rainy days, we will adapt our activities, utilize our designated sheltered areas, and continue exploring the outdoors whenever conditions allow. Activities may be modified to ensure campers remain safe, comfortable, and engaged.
Weather conditions are monitored throughout the day, and Camp Branches may adjust programming based on the safety and comfort of our campers and staff. Program adjustments may include:
Camp Branches may relocate, shorten the day, or close due to extreme weather conditions, including (but not limited to):
When possible, Camp Branches will relocate programming to an alternate indoor location. However, indoor space is limited and relocation availability depends on facility access and conditions at the time.
Families will be notified as soon as possible via email if weather conditions require a change to our regular programming. The safety and well-being of our campers and staff will always guide our decisions.
Some inclement weather activities include: Knot tying, table group challenges, board games, card games, lego building, painting, drawing and STEM challenges!
As most of our programming is outdoors, the summer heat is always a safety consideration for us. From the moment campers arrive, we insist they apply sunscreen and continue to remind them to reapply throughout the day.
During periods of extreme heat, camp activities are modified to prioritize camper safety and comfort. Shaded areas are used whenever possible, and frequent water breaks are provided. Staff may also organize calmer, low-energy games in shaded areas, with plenty of refreshments and rest breaks throughout the day.
Registration fees can be paid via Interac e-transfer or by using Credit Card (VISA, MasterCard, or VISA Debit) through our Corsizio webpage.
Our lunch time is scheduled between 12 – 1pm and is fully supervised by our camp staff. Safety, food allergies and cleanliness are high priorities for our camp staff to consider during the lunch hour. All campers are required to bring their own meals and snacks.
We will have water available at all times.
If your child has an EpiPen (anaphylaxis allergy), requires assistance with medication at camp, or has any other medical concerns, it is important to ensure that you let us know in the registration package.
If your camper requires medication during the camp day, please inform the camp director as soon as possible in writing letting us know:
All medications need to be in the original container and labelled with the camper’s name and date of the prescription. All medications are stored in a locked container at camp. If your camper’s medication is for an emergency (e.g., an epi-pen or puffer), your camper’s counsellor will carry it in their emergency backpack.

The Survivalist Badge is a new 2026 feature at Camp Branches! Throughout the week, campers practice fun and age-appropriate wilderness skills in five key areas: Fire & Shelter, Navigation, Food & Water, Safety & First Aid, and Outdoor Skills & Tools. As they explore and complete challenges, they collect “branches” toward their badge. By the end of camp, they’ll proudly earn their Survivalist Badge—celebrating resilience, confidence, and outdoor know-how!
For 2026, our summer camp fees are $269.00 and $199.00 for short weeks up until April 1st 2026. Discounts available for sibling registrations and multi-week registration's.
Yes, we offer a refund policy. Please see the bottom page link for more information.
You will be best equipped if you bring your child: sunscreen, bug spray, a hat, running shoes, change of clothes, 2+ bottles of water, sun glasses and a packed lunch.
For rainy days: a rain coat/waterproof coat, rainboots, and an umbrella.
Currently, we do not offer any additional transportation options to get to our camp but we will be looking at organizing bussing in the near future.
Yes! We offer a sibling discount for families registering more than one child. Discount will automatically be applied during checkout within the Corsizio app. Please note that discounts will only be applied if balance is paid by April 1st 2026.
You can drop off your camper between 8:45-9:00am and pick them up at 3:45-4:00pm. Authorized pick-up individuals must be 16 years of age or older. We will ask anyone we have not met to identify themselves with government-issued photo ID before they can sign out your camper. If someone arrives at camp to pick up your camper without your prior authorization, we will call home for verbal permission before releasing your camper.
Unfortunately, we do not currently offer extended care but we will be looking at adding this into our programs in the near future.
Yes. If you require Financial Assistance, please continue with the regular registration process. Contact the camp director via email about your request. Spots and assistance are not guaranteed, and financial assistance is available on a first come first served basis.
We communicate mainly through email and will send information to the main contact we have on file to get your camper(s) ready for the summer.
At the end of May, we begin our countdown to summer camp!
One week before your child’s camp starts, we will send a Welcome to Camp email with day camp location-specific information, including drop-off and pick-up instructions. We’ll also share program-specific details at this time.This email has all of the important information required for camp including the link to our shared photo album.

Yes! Each week at Camp Branches features special theme days, group challenges, and end-of-week celebrations. Depending on the program, campers may also enjoy on-site guest presentations or local nature walks within the conservation area. We do not travel off-site by bus—our focus is on making the most of our beautiful natural surroundings right here at camp.
Homesickness is normal, especially for first-time campers. Our counselors are trained to comfort and encourage campers by keeping them engaged in activities and helping them feel connected to their group. We focus on building confidence and positive relationships so campers quickly settle in and enjoy their time at camp.
We take all forms of bullying or unkind behavior very seriously. Camp Branches promotes a culture of respect, kindness, and inclusion. Counselors are trained to recognize, address, and resolve conflicts quickly and fairly. If an incident occurs, we work closely with all campers involved and communicate with parents as needed to ensure a safe, supportive environment for everyone.
We ask that campers leave all electronics, including phones, tablets, and gaming devices, at home. Camp Branches is designed to help children disconnect from screens and reconnect with nature and friends. If a camper needs to contact home, our staff will assist them.
Yes! We maintain a lost-and-found area throughout the week. We encourage families to label all belongings with the camper’s name to make returning items easier. At the end of each week, any unclaimed items will be held for a short period before donation.
We do our best to accommodate reasonable requests. Campers are grouped by age to ensure safety and age-appropriate programming, but we make every effort to place friends or siblings together when noted at registration. Activity choices are balanced across the week so everyone experiences a variety of camp adventures.
Yes! Parents are invited to join us for special end-of-week events, theme celebrations, or showcases when applicable. We love having families experience the fun and spirit of Camp Branches firsthand. Event details and invitations will be shared through our parent email updates.

Yes!
We capture photos throughout the program to give families a glimpse into their child’s camp experience. Photos may include children participating in activities, exploring the outdoors, completing challenges, and enjoying time with their friends.
Photos are shared with families through our private shared camp photo album. This is hosted through Google Photos and may require you to download the app. We take privacy seriously and only photograph and share images of children whose parents or guardians have provided the appropriate consent.
Kindly keep in mind that we do our best to capture and share photos of all campers throughout the week. However, some campers may occasionally be missed. Our first priority is always the supervision, safety, and well being of the children, and our counselors cannot always step away from supervising the group to capture photos of every camper.
For the safety of all campers, we have a secure pickup procedure in place.
At pickup, parents/guardians will check in with a Camp Branches staff member. You will be asked to provide photo identification, and our staff will verify that you are listed as an authorized person for pickup before your child is released.
Parents and guardians should remain at the designated pickup area and wait for a staff member to assist them. Campers will only be released once the required identification and attendance checks have been completed.
If someone other than a parent or regularly authorized pickup person will be picking up your child, please notify us in advance and ensure they are listed as an authorized pickup person.
Our priority is making sure every camper is safely accounted for and released to the correct person at the end of each camp day.
Yes! Washroom facilities are available at camp throughout the day.
As a true outdoor nature camp, our washrooms are vault, non flushing washrooms located within the park. We understand that this may be a new experience for some campers, especially younger children, and our counselors are always nearby to provide support and encouragement when needed.
We also make cleanliness a priority. We regularly monitor the washroom facilities throughout the day and strive to ensure they remain as clean, sanitary, and comfortable as possible for our campers.
We recommend that families prepare children for the experience of using a non flushing washroom before their first day of camp.
Camp Branches offers a wide variety of hands on, outdoor, creative, and adventure based activities throughout the summer. Our programming is divided into five main activity blocks: Survival, Adventure, Wilderness, Creative, and Low Ropes.
While we have a variety of activities planned throughout the summer, our programming is flexible and activities may change or may not take place depending on weather conditions, staffing, group dynamics, group size, camper interests and abilities, site conditions, and safety considerations. This flexibility allows our counsellors to adapt the day and provide the best possible experience for each group of campers.

Campers learn five core survival skills through hands on activities and challenges:

🏕️ Adventure Block
Campers take part in active, exciting challenges that encourage teamwork, problem solving, confidence, and adventure.
🌲Wilderness Block
Campers explore the natural environment at Heber Down through outdoor exploration and hands on experiences. Activities typically include trail walks along the many trails throughout Heber Down and creek walks, where campers can observe and learn about the plants, wildlife, and natural surroundings.
🎨 Creative Block
Campers enjoy a variety of crafts, nature based art, building projects, and other creative activities. Projects may include working with natural materials, painting, drawing, and creating take home crafts.
🧗 Low Ropes Block
Campers participate in age appropriate low ropes and challenge course activities designed to build confidence, balance, coordination, teamwork, and problem solving.
We offer a full refund if you cancel two weeks before the start of camp. After that time, refunds are not available.
Yes, we offer a sibling discount of 10% off for each additional child enrolled.
